Dear Prospective Member:
We invite you to join Triangle Medical Managers. Our purpose is to advance the profession of medical group practice management through education and peer-to-peer networking. Our membership fee is $95.00 per year (January-December). We generally meet on the second Thursday of most months, but please check the Meeting Calendar for a full list of dates in 2010. Our meetings begin at 8:15 AM with continental breakfast and time for networking with your peers or browsing the materials in our library. The meeting begins at 8:45 with announcements, a brief presentation by our meeting sponsor and a 90 minute presentation by our selected speaker. We finish by 10:30 AM. Our meeting location is the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Research Triangle Park (Page Road Exit 282 off I-40).
The following are detailed despcriptions of the types of membership available through our organization.
Active Member: An individual who is employed in an executive, managerial or administrative capacity with a medical group practice, whether an independent practice or part of an integrated delivery organization. An active member is entitled to all TMM membership services including the right to vote on all matters and to serve as an officer of the TMM.
Affiliate Member: An individual who is employed by a private or publicly held company predominantly focused on the healthcare industry and with demonstrated expertise in at least three of the following eight areas: Medical Practice Business and Clinical Operations, Financial Management, Medical Practice Governance, Human Resource Management, Information Management, Planning and Marketing, Professional Responsibility, and Risk Management. Affiliate members are entittled to all TMM membership services, including the right to vote on all matters, and to serve as an officer of the TMM. The number of Affiliate Members shall at no time exceed 20% of the full TMM membership. Student/Faculty Member: An individual pursuing a college degree in health care management or serving as a college instructor and is not eligible for other membership categories. A student/faculty member is entitled to TMM membership services as determined by the Executive Committee and shall be a nonvoting member of TMM. Membership fees are waived. Please complete an Active Member application, indicate that you are a student or faculty member, and provide the name of the college or university.
